• Topics on the Indian Stamp Act,
• Topics on the Himachal Pradesh Courts Act, and
• Topics on the Specific Relief Act

Civil Law II:

• Topics on the Indian Contract Act,
• Topics on the Hindu Law,
• Topics on the Indian Limitation Act,
• Topics on the TP Act, and
• Topics on the H.P. Urban Rent Control Act.

Criminal Law:

• Topics on the Indian Penal Code,
• Topics on the Code of Criminal Procedure,
• Topics on the Chapter XVII (Sections 138 to 143) of the Negotiable Instruments Act,
• Topics on the H.P. Excise Act of 2011,
• Topics on the Wildlife Protection Act, and
• Topics on the Indian Forest Act.

For the Mains Examination:

Five descriptive papers make up the written portion of the primary test. Each paper is given a different number of marks, and the sum of the marks from each paper determines the final mark for the mains exam.

English Composition:

• Out of three general topic essay selections, you select one. For this, there are 100 potential marks.
• You receive 50 marks for translating a paragraph from Hindi to English.

Language:

• Translating a paragraph from English to Hindi (30 points).
• Composing a 50-mark essay in Hindi on one of the three topics.
• Completing language activities (20 points), such as correcting errors and employing idioms.

For the Interview Round:

• A component of the examination’s selection procedure as per the h.p judiciary syllabus is the Viva-Voice test.
• Those who qualify for the mains written exam are required to show up at a prearranged place for the Viva-Voce exam.
• There is a 150-mark maximum on the Viva-Voce test.
• In order to choose candidates, the marks from the Main Written Examination are added to the marks from the Viva-Voce test.
• Selection or recommendation for the Viva-Voce exam is not assured by provisional admission.
• The final say over candidate appointment belongs to the Government.
• Candidates need to receive at least 45% of the marks allotted for the Viva-Voce in order to be eligible for the overall exam.
• The Viva-Voce exam evaluates candidates’ subject knowledge, oral communication abilities, and fit for the role.
