RAJASTHAN JUDICIAL SERVICE
To be a judge in Rajasthan one has to appear for Rajasthan Judiciary Examination. This examination is for the cadre of Civil Judge. The exam is conducted in three phases 1st Preliminary exam, 2nd Mains exam and lastly interview. These three phases are selection criteria to be a judicial officer. It is one of the most desirable examinations in the legal field, it is regulated and taken annually by the Rajasthan High Court. Understanding of Civil and Criminal Law, as well as English and Hindi, is necessary to pass the first two phases of the RJS. All Indian law graduates here between ages of 21 and 40 are eligible to sit for the exam.

RJS ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess a Bachelor of Law (Professional) LLB degree from a university recognised and established under Indian law .
Age: Candidates for the RJS exam must be at least 21 years old, and they may not be older than 40. The applicant must meet the age requirements set by the Rajasthan High Court at the time the notification was published.
RAJASTHAN JUDICIAL SERVICES EXAMINATION PHASES
Phase 1: Preliminary exam
An objective test with three sections—Law, Hindi, and English—makes up the RJS Prelims exam. The language component, which includes 15% of Hindi and 15% of English, is weighted 30% and the law section (70%). RJS Prelims has no negative grading. . The final RJS merit list does not include the prelims score totals. To take the RJS Mains, students must pass the prelims.

Phase 2: Mains Exam
Applicants who pass the RJS Prelims test are eligible to take the RJS Mains Examination. The RJS Mains exam will comprise of 2 law and 2 language papers. The Language section exams will last two hours , while the Law portion exams will last three hours respectively. Applicants are eligible to participate in the RJS interview phase if they receive an overall score of 40% or above on the RJS Mains test. As much as possible, there should be three times as many candidates as openings for the interview.

Phase 3: Interview
The interview is the last step in the selection process. A total of 35 marks are kept for the interview as a whole. The interview round, as its name suggests, consists of a face-to-face discussion with a group of examiners who assess your ability based on the discussion.
