SRUTI: Sruti is a Sanskrit term that translates to “what was heard.” Hindu law is seen as being divine law, and it is thought that the Hindu Sages had acquired the highest levels of spiritual development and were in constant contact with God. Thus, God himself revealed to them the divine law.
Sruti contains this discovery. Four Vedas—the Rig Veda, Yajur Veda, Sama Veda, and Atharva Veda—along with their corresponding Brahmanas are collectively referred to as Sruti. The Vedas are regarded as the basic source of law, and it is thought that they are where the entirety of Hindu law originated.
