Meaning of Criminal Force

Defined under section 350 of IPC , criminal force is the act by a person when they intentionally uses force on other person, without their consent either to commit an offence or with the intention that suvch use of force would cause, or with the knowledge that such force is likely to cause injury , fear, annoyance to the person on whom it is used. It is a successive section to force(sec 349) which becomes an criminal act when the given  essentials ( lack of consent and intention to cause injury are fulfilled. Here it contemplates the use of such force on a person and not any substance or object. The definition of criminal force is wide as to cover almost all aspects of force in which harm to a person is the intent . Under English Law this is also known as battery.
