- The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in law from an accredited university in Uttar Pradesh;
- Alternatively, the candidate must be registered as an advocate under the Advocate Act of 1961;
- Alternatively, the candidate must be a lawyer in England or Northern Ireland or an active member of the Faculty of Advocates in Scotland.
- The applicant must speak Hindi fluently in Devanagari Script.
Other Criteria for UP PCS J Exam:
- Candidates have to be citizens of India. Those in need of an eligibility certificate are admitted on an interim basis while they wait for the Uttar Pradesh government to issue the necessary authorization.
- The candidate must be in excellent health, have high moral standards, and not be involved in or have any prior morally-related criminal convictions.

UP PCS J Examination 2024: Selection Procedure
Candidates are selected to fill the UP PCS J Vacancy 2024 based on how well they performed on the UP PCS J exam. The UP PCS J examination consists of three phases: the preliminary examination, the mains examination, and the interview round.
