Active Partner

April 22, 2023

Ostensible Partner is another term for an active partner. He actively participates in the company and its management, as the term suggests. On behalf of all the partners, he conducts everyday business. In daily operations and with regard to all routine business of the company, he thus represents all the other partners.

A public notice must therefore be given when an active partner wishes to retire from the firm. By doing this, he will be released from responsibility for the actions of his former partners. Even after he retires, he will still be held accountable for his actions unless a public notification is given.
