A person is not prohibited from taking anything helpful by the copyright law. The holder of a copyright cannot request that the court shut down all forums for scholarly work and research as well as all areas of knowledge under the pretence of a copyright. The author must have used “sufficient judgement, skill, and labour or capital” to the work in order to gain copyright protection. Whether or not it has literary worth is irrelevant.
