A professional man climbs a staircase symbolizing the progressive journey of education

Pattern of Judiciary exams is different from state to state and aspirants has to prepare themselves according to the pattern of their desired state exam for which they are planning to confront. These exams are divided into three stage a) preliminary stage which is objective b) mains stage which comes subjective c) interview and definitely student has to clear all the three stages of this exam.

Throughout the journey of these exams or you can say in all three stages what is most important is working on your concepts from root level because without clarity of concepts in one or the other stage of RJS exam aspirant may fails, So working on concepts is most important part of preparation.

WHAT MISTAKES STUDENTS MAKE IN THEIR PREPARATION JOURNEY

The common and biggest mistakes which students make is that they open their eyes after exam notification comes, My dear if this is with you then you have already loosed the chance unless you are extra ordinary in studies, these exams need at least one year advance preparation.

Second mistake what students makes is that they start preparing for preliminary exam before mains preparation. First you need to prepare yourself for mains, preliminary exam prepares along with it. Students those who do this they some how clear RJS Prelims but clearing mains become difficult for them.

START YOUR PREPARATION FROM MAINS STAGE

  • As I already said concept clarity is foremost
  • Bare act command is very important
  • Prepare case law list
  • Section number should be on tips

RJS Main’s exam comes subjective so working on writing skills is very important, formula to get more number than others in answers is to be unique in presenting your answer, evasive answer will not work rather write answer to the point, mention what law is applicable along with section number, explain the concept and mention any related case law if possible. If question is applied then mention the issues which are in question, mention law point and then appraise those facts of the case according to law and then finally conclude the answer. This approach will make the examiner understand that you are clear on your points. Keeping the number of marks is also important as writing one full page for 2 numbers will only waste your time therefore working on time management is again very important.

WHAT TO KEEP IN MIND WHILE PREPARING PRELIMINARY EXAM OF RJS EXAM

Judiciary exam Prelim’s stage is first stage and it comes in objective pattern, So, for this stage very -very good command on bare act is required, one should know sections on tips and what particular section is talking about. Now students common query or problem is “not able to remember sections” “how to learn sections” etc. the only formula for this problem is reading bare act as many times you can, its impossible to learn sections in one or two reading, this is common issue happens with everyone no need to get dishearten. FOR GOOD COMMAND ON BARE ACT SEVERAL READING OF BARE ACT IS ONLY SOLUTION. That is why advance preparation is required

Bare Act command is important for mains & prelims both, that is why I said above that if you start preparing for mains prelims get prepared automatically

ABOUT INTERVIEW

Students who clear their prelims & mains exam go for interview. At interview they definitely not judge your knowledge because that is already examined at mains & prelims stage rather, they judge or examine your personality and your judicial acumen means what is your mind set for this post and whether you ready to take burden of this stature or not.

IDEAL TIME TO START PREPARATION

Well, these days I have observed students are very pro and they are preparing at very early stage of their LLB that’s good and no harm in getting serious for your goal, but the most ideal time is your 4th year or 8th semester of your LLB if you are doing 5 year LLB integrated course and 2nd year if you are doing 3 year LLB, because in your final year you can confront RJS Judiciary exam and as I already said one year advance serious preparation is required for these exams.

WHAT SHOULD BE DAILY TARGET

  • Pick any subject start its bare act
  • Covers topics conceptually
  • Daily newspaper reading- for effective essay writing
  • Study Language portion English & Hindi
  • Alternative day answer writing practice

Success will come to you automatically very smoothly if you work in a planned manner.
