Characteristics of Examination in Chief
- Sequence of Events: The lawyer conducting the examination-in-chief will typically start by asking the witness to describe the events relevant to the case in a chronological order. This helps in building a coherent and organized narrative.
- Introducing Documents and Exhibits: The party calling the witness can also introduce documents or other exhibits through the witness during examination-in-chief. The witness may be asked to identify and authenticate these documents.
