1. Must be a citizen of India.

2. Must have completed the age of 21 years and maximum age limit for RJS is 40 years. Also, 5 years of age relaxation are given to people belonging to Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, Other Backward Classes, Economic Weaker Sections, and the female category of Rajasthan.

3. Must have a degree of bachelor of law (LLB), 3 or 5 years from any university established by law in India and is recognized under the Advocates Act, 1961, and

4. Through knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagiri script and Rajasthani dialects and culture

NOTE: It is to be noted that a candidate in even his final year or semester is also eligible to appear for the preliminary examination, provided that he submits proof of his graduation within 7 days of holding the main examination. Failing this, he shall be disqualified from the examination and will not be called for the interview round, even if he secures the minimum qualifying marks to clear the main examination.
