Res Gestae is primarily an English law concept, it is no where defined in Indian law and is not directly applicable in India.
Res Gestae means a fact, transaction or an event. It will include everything connected with the main event or Fact in issue. Whenever an event happens there will be a sequence of events that will precede , succeed or revolve around the main event and hence will form a part of Res Gestae. Sec.6, Sec.7 and to a smaller extent Sec.8 are parts of Res Gestae.
